"A Lab is Home at 52"

I have recently been in a mosaic mood after my dad helped my husband and I lay tile in our laundry room. There was quite a bit of leftover broken tile from the job and I refused to let my dad let perfect "art material" go to waste. I had vision of transforming the discarded bits into something beautiful for the garden and home decor. My first project was a house number flower pot for my front yard which I have named for obvious reasons..."A Lab is Home at 52". I was overjoyed with the results. Which is a good thing since I labored over this project for 3 days straight. The front of pot features our house numbers in black. But if you look on either side of the numbers you will see homage to my furry child, Samson. I am a pack rat and when I broke a Naylor lab designed bowl years ago I kept the pieces because I wanted to some day use it for something. The more traditional lab silhouette was hand formed based off a cookie cutter I own.
